about

Close collaborators of the label along which they have released a string of acclaimed sorties, Berlin-based producer Daniele Di Martino and Androgyne Audio head exec Dizharmonia return to the fold with their debut joint four-tracker. An attempt to express the "inner symphony of a certain moment", this special delivery taps into various backgrounds and influences, amongst which the Italo sound certainly holds a special place. Here Di Martino and Dizharmonia's versatility shines through in epic manner as they give full vent to the wider segment of their palette. Deftly oscillating between stadium-sized firepower and more intimate narratives, the pair draws from either mythical or real-life places and space to engineer his own widescreen vision, connecting with the deep emotional worlds of their audience. This new instalment doesn't differ, as it reveals a potent quartet of assets for the club, ready to take on the most demanding crowds and party scenarios to express its full potential.
Helming the A side, Dizharmonia kicks things off on a clearly Italo-informed / newbeat-tinted note with 'Mesopotamia'. Firing away an heavyweight arsenal of free-flowing synth arpeggios and sizzling basswaves against an elating tapestry of washed-out pads, its cavernous echoes slashing from above stretch their otherworldly menace bar after bar. The substerranean 'Nestos Unms' goes a more understated route, softer in tones and openly foraying down the deeper layers of consciousness. Interlarded with emotional piano chords falling like ambrosian drops and buzzing synth stabs, the track takes us on a slo-mo poetic journey across polychromatic trancey soundscapes. Di Martino's lead slab - 'Blade Runner' - reels off a dystopian club dynamic very much akin to that of the eponymous sci-fi masterpiece, blazing with incendiary synthlines, lethal breaks and a truly epic buildup to tie it all together. Clad in shadows, his second contribution - 'Dark Moon' - tops the release off on a slightly more laid-back and nostalgic momentum, moving from luminous circles down raucous sound strata as Di Martino showcases his knack for crafting riveting club ordnance that gracefully combines cinematic immersion with potent dance floor appeal.
